Yes — authentic linen has a natural texture that's crisper than synthetic-soft sheets. This is exactly how it's supposed to feel. The texture softens significantly after the first few washes and continues improving. If you want sheets that feel artificially soft in week one, linen isn't for you. If you want sheets that feel exceptional in month six and extraordinary in year two, these are for you.
Machine wash cold or warm on a gentle cycle. Tumble dry low or line dry. Avoid high heat — it weakens natural fibers over time. For linen: iron while slightly damp for a crisp look, or embrace the natural texture. For silk: hand wash or delicate cycle, air dry only. Every set comes with a care guide specific to the material.
